A Piece of Good Life (一督好生活) Personal Project
Cattle in Lantau Island are the oldest resident of Lantau. Mui Wo has more than 20 villages and the villagers have been used cattle for farming started from the Ming Dynasty. Due to the land development in Mui Wo, grassland reduced a lot. The cattle lost their homeland and become vagrant life. The Hong Kong Government had killed and relocated more than 80 Mui Wo cattle in 2005. There are only 14 cattle left in Mui Wo now. Mui Wo cattle are also call "Aboriginal Cattle", they are not wild cattle because they have a fixed walking route and have the ability of identifying the routes in the community.
The vagrant life of cattle always brings nuisance in public place and create disturbance on local people and tourists. On the other hand, as most people lack of knowledge about cattle, their behaviour and reaction always create danger to themselves and the cattle.
However, cattle need work in-group and are not easy to adapt to another place. Therefore, they need to stay in Mui Wo and live with the local people in a friendly and peaceful way. The most effective method to reduce nuisance brought by the cattle is to build cowshed, let the cattle have a regular place to live, reduce their activity in public place. This suggestion had already proposed to the Hong Kong Government, but the planning progress is very slow and often fail to give reply.
FOMC is an organization that strives to create a community where cattle and local people can coexist in harmony in Mui Wo.

A Piece of Good Life (一督好生活) Continuous Project
Nuisance Resolve Institute mission is to develop ecologically sound ways of dealing with problems that arise from rapid urbanisation and changing lifestyles in Hong Kong - namely, the tension between feral cattle and people.
We use waste products like cattle dung to create organic and non-harmful products that better people's lives.
We create an ecologically balanced relationship between the people and the feral cattle of Mui Wo.
We educate those around us to appreciate the value of "waste" and the natural ecology of Hong Kong.
We innovate continuously to develop more solutions that turn waste materials into useful products.
